Early Childhood Mental Health Outreach

Designed for young children (0-5 years) who are struggling socially, emotionally and behaviorally, this program focuses on improving functioning and school readiness by partnering with parents, caregivers and educators.

Classroom Intervention

Using a relationship-based approach, staff offer support in the child's childcare or classroom setting through:

  • Classroom observations
  • Consultation and collaboration with educators
  • Therapeutic play groups
  • Home Visits

Home visits occur on a regular basis in the convenience of the family's home, community or on site at St. David's Center. Home visiting staff offer families:

    • Emotional support, including mental health services
    • Child development and parenting information
    • Connections to community resources

    Payment
Services are funded through a combination of state and county funding, foundation support, individual contributions and insurance.
